Strolling along the "Portuguese Silver Coast"

Obidos is a charming medieval city located 30 minutes from Nazaré and 20 minutes from Salir do Porto. The walled city is a real eye catcher when you pass it by on the highway. Closing in on Obidos, one of the first thing you notice is the impressive aqueduct. The city is car-free, but it can be very crowded. Going for a walk on the city walls is an incredible experience: a small wall, battlements on 1 side and the depth of the city on the other side. You can participate in an escape game in one of the castle towers.
The monastery of Alcobaça (16km - 20min), from the 12th century, is on the list of World Heritage Sites. There are more sites to discover in Tomar and Batalha.
